Day 9

Family is awesome. My mother-in-law came to watch the baby for a few hours so both my wife and I could get some sleep to recharge. Although we’ve been splitting nighttime supervision sessions, it’s hard to get more than and hour or two of rest at a time. It’s so wonderful to have help from family to make it all work.

Later, my cousin and her husband stopped by to see the baby. She came to the hospital a few days ago too. It’s so fun to see my daughter through the eyes of someone else. Their faces light up when she makes cooing sounds. They can’t stop saying how cute her chubby cheeks are. I know I’m so lucky to have this little bundle of joy. I’m just so glad that the world will be a little better off with her in it.
